5 Places in PHX to Take Family Portraits

Looking for a great outdoor place to take fun photos? In this blog post, I share my 5 favorite places near Phoenix to do photoshoots. You might have been or heard of these parks in Phoenix. Watch the video or scroll down to see how I take family portraits and quinceañera photos at these locations.

My 5 Favorite Parks in Phoenix to do Photoshoots

1) Anthem Park

This is my favorite park near Phoenix to take portraits. It's the waterfall spot that I fell in love with the moment I saw it. I called it the Castle Garden. I might have watched too many Disney movies growing up, but when I imagine a garden in a castle, this is how I imagine it. Click here to see where it's located.

2) Sahuaro Ranch Park

This park has a rustic look. It's located near Glendale Community College. This park has a rose garden, a barn, two farmhouses, and an amazing landscape. Click here to see where it's located.

3) Tempe Beach Park

Tempe Beach Park is my AZ beach away from a California beach, with a great architectural view. If you live in Phoenix, you have been to this park at least once. If you haven't, you are going to check it out once you see a few photos that I've taken there. I haven't gotten a chance to do a family portrait here, but I've done a quinceanera photoshoot and Instagrammable session with my sister, Marlen. This park is near ASU. Click here to get the location.

4) Encanto Park

This is a great family park in Phoenix. Encanto Park is in the middle of Phoenix, near Phoenix College. There's an amusement park, a train, a golf course, and a historic building. A great family park to take photos. All you got to do is find the right spot and framed your photos really well. Remember, it's all about the angles. Click here to get the address.

5) PHX Mountian Trials

I know. This isn't really a place in Phoenix. It's more of a recommendation to use the mountain trials that Phoenix has to offer. Our desert is beautiful, especially when the sun is going down. There is South Mountain, Papago Park, Dreamy Draw, Piestewa Pear Park, Camelback Mountain, Superstition Mountian, and more. I highly recommend you go and take photos with the desert. Just remember to be careful and stay hydrated.

I hope this list helps you find a great location near Phoenix to have a fun photoshoot with your family. Let me know in the comments below if you have been to any of these parks before or if you have any other suggestions.
