In this post, I want to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what a real estate team headshot day actually looks like—and why it matters more than you might think.

This session was done right inside the office using a simple grey backdrop and natural light. One by one, each agent stepped in for their turn, and I guided them through posing so they could feel confident and look their best on camera.

For this project, each agent received two professional images that they can now use for:

Their website profiles
The brokerage’s “About” page
Marketing materials
Social media and LinkedIn

This session actually came through a referral from my full-time job, which was such a great reminder of how powerful relationships and networking can be.

But this session wasn’t just about taking photos. It was about giving each person a moment to be seen.

A Little Behind the Scenes (The Real Stuff)

I’ll be real with you—this session wasn’t perfect 😅

I brought a reflector… and didn’t even use it.

I forgot to charge my flash batteries (yes… that happened).

But you know what? The photos still came out great. I used:

A clean, neutral backdrop (which I now take everywhere with me)
Natural light
My “nifty fifty” lens

And we made it work. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about having everything perfect. It’s about creating something meaningful.
