How’s Quince Practice Going with Your Court of Honor?

How’s your quince practice coming along?

How many chambelanes do you have? Are you including damas too?

And tell me—what’s one song you’re planning to dance to with your court? (Drop it in the comments—I wanna know!)

I still remember the mix of excitement and stress during my own quince practices.

The excitement? That was easy. It was my day. A whole day, just for me.

The stress? Well… there was a lot to plan and get right. 😅

But honestly? It was all so worth it.

What made it even more special was knowing my cousins, my brother, and my closest friends were showing up just for me. They gave their time to practice, and that meant everything.

Don’t Forget to Appreciate Your Court ❤️

Your quince is amazing—but it’s not just about you.

It’s your family, friends, and court of honor that make it unforgettable.

They’re investing their time and energy to celebrate with you.

So be patient when practices get messy, and take a moment to say "thank you." Trust me—it goes a long way.

6 Fun Poses to Try with Your Court of Honor 📸

Alright—let’s talk pictures.

Do you consider yourself photogenic?

How about your chambelanes—do they know how to pose? 😂

Got any ideas for how you want your group shots to look?

If not—don’t worry. I got you. Below are 6 fun, must-try poses for you and your court of honor to try during your park photoshoot. These aren’t stiff, awkward poses—they’re fun, full of personality, and guaranteed to get everyone smiling (even the shy ones).

The Poses:

  1. The Classic Group Shot

  2. The “I Can Fly” Jump Pose

  3. The Runway Walk

  4. The Superpowers Pose

  5. The “Let’s Be Weird” Moment

  6. The Squad Pose

Yes… I know the names are a little cringy. I was trying to be cool 😎

(Pretty sure it didn’t work—but hey, the poses still look awesome!)

👇 Scroll down to see what each pose looks like and how to do it!

The Classic Group Shot

This one’s a must. The quinceañera stands in the middle, with her court of honor evenly spaced on both sides. Chambelanes usually stand tall with their hands in their pockets. If there are damas, they can strike a pose with a hand on their hip.

It’s clean, elegant, and timeless—the ultimate “all eyes on you” photo. 👑

Think magazine cover, but make it quince.

Pro Tip: Shoulders back, chill smile—not stiff. You got this.

The “I Can Fly” Jump Pose

When was the last time you watched Peter Pan?

This pose gives off major Neverland energy—like that moment when Peter, Wendy, and the crew are learning how to fly with a little help from pixie dust.

Here’s how it works:

You and your court stand in a line (you in the middle, of course 😉), and on the count of 3—everyone jumps with their arms out like they’re taking off.

It might take a few tries to get the perfect mid-air shot, but when it lands? ✨ Magic.

Pro Tip: Don’t be scared to go all out—yes, even big dresses can fly (in a cute, floaty way).

The Runway Walk

You know that moment in a fashion show when the model struts down the runway like they own it? Yeah—that’s the energy.

For this pose, you and your court walk straight toward the camera like it’s your own Quince Fashion Week. Show off those dresses, tuxes, and most importantly—confidence. It’s fun, it gets everyone laughing, and it totally loosens things up during the session.

Fierce. Confident. Runway ready.

Laugh, smirk, serve face—this is your moment.

Pro Tip: Big steps, soft smiles, and a little drama. Walk like the camera owes you something.

Girl Got Superpowers

The name says it all.

Think anime vibes. Think Avatar: The Last Airbender. Think you with glitter powers.

Here’s how it works:

The quinceañera stretches out her arms like she’s blasting a force field forward—and the court reacts like they’ve just been hit with full-on magic.

Fly backward, stumble, jump—whatever brings the drama. 💥

You’re the hero. They’re your backup.

Pro Tip: The more over-the-top, the better. Yes—even the chambelanes have to fully commit to the moment!

Let's Be Weird

This is your chance to drop the serious stuff and just have fun.

This pose is all about being goofy, dramatic, extra, annoying (in a lovable way)—whatever your vibe is.

I’ll usually say something like, “Let’s do a fun one!” Then I’ll direct the quinceañera to show off her dress or makeup, and the chambelanes to point at her like “woahhh”.

Or I’ll have the whole group get close and hit their best “cool pose.”

Pure chaos—in the best way.

Make silly faces, strike weird poses, jump mid-spin, laugh too hard…

This is your group’s chance to let your personalities shine.

Pro Tip: There’s no such thing as “too weird” here. Let it all out.

The Squad Pose

This one usually happens after the surprise dance, when everyone’s finally loosened up. The nerves are gone, the performance is over, and now it’s time to just celebrate.

I’ll gather the group, have them hug, lean in, or strike a “cool” pose together. It’s always one of the most natural shots—everyone’s smiling, relaxed, and just happy to be there.

Loyal crew, but make it aesthetic.

Stand or kneel close together with arms crossed, leaning in like the baddest crew at the party (because you are).

Pro Tip: Got matching sneakers, sunglasses, or coordinated colors? Use them. It takes the whole shot to the next level.

Now do the cringy pose names make a little more sense? 😅

If they do, hit that 💜 at the bottom right!

And tell me in the comments—which pose are you most likely to try for your quince?

Or better yet, what’s one pose I should add to the list for next time? I’m always down to try something new!
